Lester Wallace says "Gregory/Wallace line"
I am researchng my ancestory along the Wallace/Gregory lines. There were a couple of names that came up in your family tree that are also in mine. I was wondering if you have any more info that I could use.
John "Jameson" Gregory and Catherine "Harriet" Jones were my great-great-great grand parents.
They had a son James (John) Henry (b April 29 1843). He married Sarah (Sallie) Ann Caudill (b August 11 1849). They had a dughter Miranda.
Miranda (b Jan 24 1872), married my great grand-father John W Wallace. They had a son Corbett C Wallace, he was my grand father.
Do you have any information on my great grand-father John W. Wallace of Rowan Co? Do you have any more info on James (John) Henry or John "Jameson"?

| i am jefferson davis smedley's great granddaughter. my mom is virginia daughter of david henry smedley. it was so wonderful looking at the pictures and reading your page. my mom remembered uncle jesse's 'sing' garden and other things in your writings. i remember my grandpa hunting ginseng too. i am trying to find out anything on my great grandmother serena williams smedley. she was jeff's 2nd wife and died in 1918. any info you would have would be much appreciated. grandpa was only a baby and she died under some tragic circumstances. i am new to the internet so i hope this message gets through. thanks! |
